Support Our Troops thanks the GTAA and Pearson International Airport for supporting the Airways of Heroes program

Since joining the program in 2022, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority (GTAA) and Pearson International Airport have made an immense impact by raising over $500,000 through the Support Our Troops Art Easel Program.

On 19 September, Support Our Troops recognized and showed our appreciation to the GTAA by gifting them a Special Edition Avro Arrow Print. Their continued effort in hosting Support Our Troops art easels throughout the Pearson International Airport has made an incredibly meaningful impact on the lives of military members, Veterans, and their families. 

The Airway of Heroes was launched in 2018 as a way for airports across Canada to acknowledge and support members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families. There are now 22 participating international airports across Canada taking part in the Airway of Heroes.

These airports have placed art easels throughout their terminal buildings that display Canadian-made, sports, music, and art prints. Travelers can bid on artwork with funds going directly to Support Our Troops. Successful bidders are contacted by Funding Innovation and their artwork is mailed to them, anywhere in Canada.

Toronto Pearson International, Canada’s largest airport, joining the Airway of Heroes has raised significant funds and awareness for Support Our Troops. The funds raised through this campaign have truly made a difference in the lives of many military members, Veterans, and their families.
